Phase III introduces a 132-unit, eight-storey architecturally-inspired residence that gracefully extends from the existing building, nestled into the natural contours of the property. Thoughtfully sited between mature trees and gently sloped terrain, the new wing appears to grow organically from the hillside, blending architecture and nature in perfect balance. A Community Within Lively, Phase III will complete the Hill Road campus as a self-contained seniors’ community, offering the independence of private apartment living, enhanced by shared amenities that bring neighbours together. Connected by an enclosed glass breezeway to the existing Phase II building, the new structure forms a walkable village setting with landscaped courtyards, social gathering areas, and pedestrian paths winding through the site. Our proposed eight story, 132 unit Seniors rental apartment building will be a harmonious extension of 20 Hill Road; our existing 56 unit building currently in operation on the same site. The expansion aims to further address the critical need for Seniors housing in our community. 50 Hill Road will feature spacious one and two bedroom units designed for accessibility + comfort while adhering to a Net Zero environmental footprint. The model will mirror our existing “FLEX” Housing concept, which will allow residents to live at home for longer and age comfortably in place, ultimately reducing strain on our overburdened healthcare system. In addition, the project will further benefit from the existing Home and Health Care services currently being delivered in house by Independence Centre and Network (ICAN).
