The community of Lively is stepping into an exciting period of growth and renewal and we’re thrilled to see another major milestone approaching.
The City of Greater Sudbury will be hosting a Public Open House on November 26th to present the conceptual design options for a new Lively Recreational Facility. These early-stage concepts explore what the future of recreation, wellness, and community connection could look like for the residents of Lively, Walden, and the surrounding areas.
Why This Matters to Hill Road
At 20 Hill Road, and as we prepare for the upcoming Phase III expansion at 50 Hill, our goal has always been to build not just homes, but a community within a community, one that supports active, engaged, healthy living for people of all ages, with a special focus on seniors and aging-in-place.
A modern recreational facility in the heart of Lively aligns naturally with the design philosophy that guides our developments:
✔ Walkable, Connected Living
An updated recreation hub contributes to a more complete, accessible neighbourhood, one where residents can stay active, socialize, and participate in programs without needing long travel distances.
✔ Wellness-Focused Amenities
Programming envisioned for the new facility complements the lifestyle we support at 20 Hill and Phase III: fitness, social gatherings, intergenerational activities, and indoor/outdoor wellness opportunities.
✔ A Stronger, More Vibrant Lively
Community infrastructure drives community pride. As Lively grows, so do opportunities for residents including those who call Hill Road home; to enjoy a richer, more connected daily life.
We believe that as these two projects move forward; one public, one private, they will complement each other and help strengthen the long-term vitality of the Lively/Walden area.
Join the Conversation November 26
We encourage all local residents, future tenants, neighbours, and community members to attend the City’s upcoming open house. Your feedback plays an important role in shaping the final design and determining the kinds of features and programs that will serve Lively for decades to come.
